To mark the 200 years of Heinrich Grenser's death, a renowned German instrument builder, we have selected as piece f the month one of his bassoons.

To illustrate the bassoon we have selected two videos. In the first one, the Berlin's Philarmonic, directed by the maestro Neeme Järvi, performs ''In the Hallof The Mountain King'' by Peer Gynt, a composition made by Edavrd Grieg, where a bassoon performs an important part.

In the second video the bassoons' quartet from OSESP - Orquestra Sinfónica do Estado de São Paulo, accompanied by the percussionist Armando Yamada, performs ''My Favourite Thing'' a song by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, from the film ''The Sound of Music'', with musical arrangements by Alexandre Silvério.
