Built in 1914, the Gélas Mandolim from the Museum of Music's collection celebrates this year its centenarian. For this reason we have chosen it as piece of the month of January. 

To ilustrate the mandolim we present two videos. In the first one you can enjoy an instrument by Gélas from 1914. In the second video you can watch the performance from the mandolinist Bernardo De Pace (1886-1966) in a movie from 1927 entitled 'The Wizard of The Mandolin''.
