Permanent Exhibition | |||
The current permanent exhibition of the Museum. The "Fábricas de Sons" (Sound Makers) exhibition represents the need for a renovation, as well as the desire to account for the almost eight years of the Museum's existence. In this sense, its purpose is to offer a new form of exhibitional discourse as a consequence of the inclusion of more musical instruments (not only European, but also African and Asian), grouped by families or according to their classification norms. In the selection of the items, the Museum sought to, once again, prioritize their aesthetic value and the quality of their construction, emphasising in each section the instruments of Portuguese manufacture. |
