In order to mark the International Day of Jazz, on 30th of April, we have selected as piece of the month one of the most renowned instruments of this musical style, the saxophone. 

Being the chosen saxophone a model less common (melody in C) we leave here a video of Rheuben Allen, a saxophone specialist, where he speaks about the mentioned instrument.

As Music speaks for itself, we illustrate the selected piece with another video where Al McLean, Canadian saxophonist, performs ''Isfahan'' by Billy Strayhorn in a saxophone melody in C, accompanied by Cameron Wallis (Alto Saxophone), Geoff Lapp (Piano), Morgan Moore (Double Bass) and Richard Irwin (Drums). The recording was made at Du Diable Bar, Quebec, on January of 2010.
