The contempt of this site is protected by the Author's Rights,  Connected and Disconnected rights and Industrial Propriety Rights according to the Portuguese and European Union laws and International conventions, not being able to be used, outside the conditions admitted by this website.

1.A. The texts, images and site data of the Music Museum are protected by copyright, being also subject to other restrictions. 
 
1.B. The Music Museum / Directorate General for Cultural Heritage (DGPC) have all the rights, including the author's rights on data, images, ducuments, texts and other information included in the website. The copyright and other property rights can be held up by other individuals or other than or in accumulation with the Museum of Music/ Directorate General for Cultural Heritage (DGPC).
 
1.C The materials are available for limited non commercial use. The users can transfer the data for personal use, subject to additional conditions that might be applied to and material found in this website. The users can, however, refer the author and the origin of the materials, and quoting must include the reference www.museudamusica.pt
 
 
 
2. The Music Museum / Directorate General for Cultural Heritage (DGPC) do not guarantee that the available material to the website doesn't break the copyright of third entities that aren't held up by the Museum of Music/Directorate General for Cultural Heritage (DGPC). For example, some works might be under the protection of copyright of the artists themselves and their heirs. Some works might be under the restriction of use in any way. In this case, they can't be copyed or transferred from this site without a previous authorization from the owners of the specific copyright. 
 
3. The copy and spreading of any form of commercial use, including commercial publications or for personal profit are strictly forbidden.  
 
 
4. The use of available materials in this website concerning other uses besides the ones mentioned and authorized are subject to previous authorisation. The regulation of the image cession (''Regulation to the Reproduction and acquisition of photographs and museums' cultural goods'') is available on www.patrimoniocultural.pt.
 
5. Concerning the use of any other image or texts in the site, contact the Museum of Music.

Confidentiality

In some forms the users are asked to fill in their contact and/or personal information. The collected information is used for the Music Museum to get to know its visitors to understand the best way to serve.

In what concerns the mailing list, it assures the privacy of personal data given, only used to inform the museum's activities.


The Music Museum guarantees to every user:

·:· None of the personal data will be used by others without the previous consent of its owner.
·:· None of the personal data confined by us will be used freely and by commercial means, to direct ''marketing'' companies or other entities that use mailing lists to promote their products and/or services.

 

The Music Museum has the right to give specific data (local, age and other) for the public use, mainly for statistics.

However, we can identify users that might commit illegal acts in the site and violate the code of conduct, or when it is asked by judicial decision.
